Downtown Sutton just got a whole lot tastier thanks to Cutie Pies Baking Company and The Lunch Room — two cozy, creative, family-run spots adding fresh flavour and friendly charm to High Street.
Nick and Carrie Lekatis, long-time Town of Georgina residents with over 15 years in the restaurant industry, first opened Cutie Pies in late 2023. Shortly after, they launched The Lunch Room with their son Matthew. Together, the trio serves up everything from hearty sandwiches to handcrafted ice cream cakes — all made with a focus on quality ingredients, great taste, and community spirit.
Cutie Pies — a sweet stop with a nostalgic twist
With its signature pink storefront and irresistible aroma, Cutie Pies is hard to miss. Inside, you’ll find Kawartha Dairy scoops, old-fashioned floats, and their signature ice cream cakes, alongside fresh butter tarts, cookies, and small-batch pies. It’s a labour of love born from Carrie’s passion for baking and the family’s vision of creating something special for Georgina’s residents and visitors.
The Lunch Room — comfort food made from scratch
Just steps away, The Lunch Room has become a go-to spot for flavour-packed sandwiches and home-style comfort food. Menu favourites include the stacked Reuben, savoury steak sandwich, and Matthew’s made-from-scratch meatball sub with rich red sauce. With generous portions, rotating specials, and a welcoming vibe, it’s quickly earned a loyal following among locals and day-trippers alike.
More than a business — a commitment to community
What makes these two spots stand out isn’t just the food — it’s the heart behind them. The Lekatis family didn’t just invest in Georgina to grow their businesses; they wanted to help grow the community. Nick now serves on the Sutton BIA and the family is active in local beautification and placemaking projects.
“We wanted to be part of something growing,” says Nick. “There’s a great energy on High Street right now — and we’re excited to help it thrive.”
Together, Cutie Pies Baking Company and The Lunch Room capture the essence of Georgina — creative, community-driven, and full of flavour.
