October is Small Business Month, an opportunity to recognize the important role small businesses play in Georgina's local economy.
According to the 2025 York Region Employment Survey, 88 per cent of the more than 770 businesses surveyed in Georgina are small businesses. These businesses are the backbone of our local economy, creating jobs, providing essential goods and services, supporting our downtowns and contributing to our vibrant and growing community.
The Town of Georgina recognizes the hard work, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit of our local business community and remains committed to supporting its continued success.
Throughout October, local and regional business support partners are offering a variety of workshops, networking events and learning opportunities to help entrepreneurs build connections, strengthen their skills and grow their businesses.
